10 of the Best Rooftop Bars

The Great British summer is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to kick off the season with our first summer parties. But when we’re not out and about catering at some of the capital’s top summer venues, the London Kitchen team love to unwind with a drink at London’s finest rooftop bars. Our top ten are perfect for a lazy Saturday afternoon or an after work drink in the sun – Enjoy!

Radio Rooftop Bar, ME Hotel

If you’re after a little luxury head to the top of the ME Hotel, where you’ll enjoy fabulous views over the capital from this elegant little retreat. The perfect place for special occasions.

Dalston Roof Park

A more purse-friendly option, the Dalston Roof Park is a true garden in the sky, and the ideal place to unwind after a stressful day! You’ll feel rejuvenated, we promise.

Proud Camden

For true Camden style head to Proud, where the terrace is ideal for sipping a cocktail or two amongst an arty crowd. They’re two for one from 5-8 Wednesday to Sunday, too!

Queen of Hoxton

There’s something about drinking on a roof that is just a lot more exciting than any beer garden. Especially if it’s the Queen of Hoxton’s rooftop, where brightly coloured tables and adorable little beach huts set the scene for summer nights.

The Fox, Haggerston

The prettiest rooftop bar must go to The Fox, which boasts a fully refurbished roof terrace embellished with flowers. It’s not very big, but it’s always popular when the sun is shining.

Boundary Rooftop, Shoreditch

The Boundary Rooftop bar sits atop the Terence Conran-designed Boundary Project, and is an unsurprisingly popular stop for a tipple or two. You can stay here even when the rains come!

Sushisamba, Heron Tower

Enjoy a taste of Sushisamba’s Japanese cuisine as you soak up the rays on their roof terrace, where views of the City are as impressive as can be. Don’t leave without trying their cocktails.

Vista, Trafalgar Hotel

There aren’t many hidden gems in Trafalgar Square, but this is certainly one of them. This smart bar has impressive views of Nelson’s Column, London Eye and Big Ben. Cocktails too!

Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden

The Southbank can get a bit hectic during the summer months, but the Queen Elizabeth Hall Roof Garden always remains a quiet little oasis in the sky. Perhaps we shouldn’t tell you about it. Perhaps it’s a secret. Oops.

Aqua Kyoto & Aqua Nueva Rooftop Bars

Continuing the cocktail theme, the rooftop bars of Aqua Kyoto & Aqua Nueva are amongst the finest in the capital. Sip a luxurious mixed or muddled creation in the sun and unwind in the best possible way.
