2014’s Highlights

Last year was jam-packed full of inspiring events, from the most prestigious of awards dinners and romantic weddings to avant garde product launches and dramatic fashion shows. Here are a few of our highlights from 2014.


We began the year with the much anticipated You and Your Wedding Awards.  Two hundred guests entered magical woodland at the offices of You and Your Wedding Magazine’s publishers Immediate Media in January. Theming was inspired by one of this year’s biggest wedding trends, with quirky woodland design theming, which came complete with a few lovable woodland creatures!

The tallest building in Western Europe celebrated its first birthday in February, with a show-stopping celebration for specially invited guests and VIPs. The Shard’s guests partied into the night at a height of 1,016ft, raised a toast high above the streets of London – and enjoyed some sensational views while they were at it.




Our talented team were honoured to cater at an event attended by guest of honour HRH Princess Anne in March. The Princess Royal attended a lunch event held at the Old Palace School of John Whitgift.




It was an All-American affair at H&M in April, when we created a 50s diner themed event for 80 guests. The day, which launched the store’s new collections to specially invited members of the press, saw the store transformed with a bright colour scheme and plenty of classic American props, from cosy red booths to bold H&M diner branding.

In May we headed to the top of the Shard for an event hosted by Delta Airlines and Virgin Atlantic. Guests were welcomed to the 68th Floor of the Shard, where they enjoyed an indulgent dinner in the clouds.

June saw the official launch of our summer café at the Serpentine Galleries and Pavilion. Located within the grounds of the Serpentine Gallery, the Pavilion and Café are both temporary summer structures, free for the public to visit. Read all about our café here.

We didn’t rest for the summer holidays – in August we hosted a summer dinner at Farnborough’s historic wind tunnels saw guests indulging in a stunning feast of London Kitchen classics, in one of the UK’s most unusual settings.

Last year’s BIMA (British Interactive Media Association) Awards took place at Victoria House in Bloomsbury in September. The tech-savvy event was attended by 700 of the industry’s brightest minds, who were treated to an awards ceremony with a gourmet twist!

An underground world beneath Waterloo station set the scene for an incredible party, when we catered for the official launch of new digital agency Phantom. Deep within this subterranean lair, the Vaults are one of the capital’s best kept secrets. Formerly known as The Old Vic Tunnels, the venue is ideal for corporate and private events with a twist, and features 30,000 sqft of unused railway tunnels. Accessible, flexible and delectable Victorian brickwork is fused with abandoned 70s office space, creating the perfect space to let your imagination run wild.

Also in September we joined forces with magician extraordinaire Dynamo, Laura Wright, Gaby Roslin and the Diamond Boys to celebrate 65 years of children’s charity Variety, and the birth of the Variety Patrons Campaign with a magical drinks reception at the Shard.

We headed to the Roundhouse in October for the most fashionable of award ceremonies. The night showcased the stars of style, with 36 finalists being presented from over 900 entries – but our food nearly stole the show!

November saw the launch of new 12-acre island neighbourhood, City Island, across from Canning Town. In attendance on the night were a fair few famous faces, including Daisy Lowe, Millie Mackintosh and Henry Holland. Read all about the launch of City Island here.




Other highlights include Night Tales, the launch of a BMW, an event for Rayban and much more.
