In May Debenhams launched new collections by creating a pop-up café at Bloomsbury Square. Specially invited guests explored the café throughout the day, with our team on hand to provide refreshments.
The day began with a breakfast of Croissants, Pain au Chocolat, Cinnamon Rolls, Apricot Danish Pastries and Seasonal and Tropical Fruit Salad Skewers with Lemon Grass Syrup, accompanied by gourmet tea and coffee from the Insomnia Coffee Company.
While sharing their thoughts on the brand’s new collections, guests were served a buffet lunch included Roast Chicken Caesar Wraps with Crispy Pancetta and Parmesan and Rare Roast Beef, Rocket and Horseradish Sandwiches, on Thick White Bloomer Bread.
Sandwiches were accompanied by a Superfood Salad: Quinoa Salad with Peas, Broad Beans, Mixed Peppers, Chillies, Pea Shoots, Crispy Kale and Pickled Red Onions. Or guests could opt for Pearl Barley, Broad Bean and Goat’s Cheese Salad: Pearl Barley with Broad Beans, Tenderstem Broccolini and Mint, topped with Crumbled Goat’s Cheese.
We would never forget dessert! We also served Baked Key Lime Cheesecake with Blackcurrant Cream, as well as dessert canapés including Pumpkin and Caramel Tartlets, Mini Toffee Apples, Salted Caramel Peanut butter, lollipop served on chocolate sand, Mini Pecan Pies and Blackberry and Apple Panna Cotta with Silver Leaf.
The mid-afternoon slump was countered with afternoon tea sweets, including Mini Squares of Chocolate, Hazelnut and Cherry Brownies and Miniature Banoffee Pie with Caramelised Banana.
