Dinner With The Cambridge Satchel Company

The Cambridge Satchel Company held an intimate dinner to celebrate the launch of its new Peanuts range. Set in the heart of Covent Garden, the event was attended by 13 specially invited guests, including fashion bloggers and press.

The show room was fully themed with Peanuts memorabilia, including classic cartoons, framed prints and the new Peanuts satchels. Even the table centre featured Charlie Brown, Patty, Snoopy and friends peeking out from behind blades of grass.

The British company worked with our team to design a bespoke British menu for the night. The meal began with plattered starters of country style artisan bread, ham hock terrine with apple and cider relish, hot smoked salmon with dill crème fraîche and sliced lemon and pots of country style chicken liver paté with red wine jelly. There was also a vegan option of roasted and smoked baby beetroots with orange segments, caramelized walnuts and micro mizuna.

The main course was rump of welsh lamb with new potatoes, minted pea purée, confit cherry tomatoes and lamb jus, or leek & truffle pithivier with curly kale and a beetroot and sherry vinaigrette.

Desserts were then served; guests enjoyed rhubarb and almond crumble with maple syrup crème fraîche, or a vegan option of fresh fruit and sorbet. The final instalment was a selection of dark chocolate truffles, served with coffee, which proved to be quite irresistible!

The new Cambridge Satchel Company collection is the result of a collaboration with Peanuts, and includes dog collars, zip pouches and satchels decorated with the Charlie Brown stripe and characters from the cartoon. We might have to get ourselves a Snoopy satchel!
