It was a night of magic and illusion at a recent launch event, held in the Copper Box Arena. The event marked the pre-launch of Fiat’s new 500X crossover model, and featured entertainment by magician extraordinaire Dynamo.
On the night over 1,000 guests enjoyed catering by the London Kitchen at the Stratford event space. On the guest list were journalists, bloggers and personalities from the worlds of fashion, entertainment and music, including singer MIA, Kasabian’s bassist Chris Edwards and TV star Nancy Dell’Olio.
Cocktails were provided by Italian drinks brand Disaronno; these complemented our Italian-inspired canapé menu. On the menu was polenta with pecorino cheese and caramelized red onions, lobster and crayfish tail frittata with a garlic and saffron aioli and carpaccio of beef on crostini with parmesan, rocket salad and a drizzle of truffle oil.
There were also a selection of VIP canapés, including cucumber canapés with whipped feta, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil, chargrilled lemon and thyme polenta topped with ratatouille and fried basil.
Music and entertainment was provided by acts including breakout group Gorgon City. By 9.30pm Dynamo was wowing guests with a performance that blended theatre, illusion and dance. He conjured up a mysterious energy – the power of X – that allowed him to generate a 3D blueprint of the new Fiat 500 X and instantly turn it into a physical car live on stage.
The live performance by Dynamo marks the end of the European ‘The Power of X’ tour, which launched in late November. Since then, the #ThePowerofX tour has taken the 500X to the main squares of 74 European cities and 602 exclusive premières hosted at Fiat dealerships in Europe. Throughout the activity, members of the public have been able to get up close to the 500X model ahead of its showroom debut in February.
