Who doesn’t love pancakes? No one! That’s why we’ve been doing a little research into the best places to eat pancakes in London, in preparation to one of the biggest days on the foodie calendar, the 17th February aka Pancake Day (or Shrove Tuesday).
You will find the London Kitchen team stuffing ourselves with pancakes at The Cat and Mutton, for the duration of Shrove Tuesday and probably the preceding days as well. This traditional East London pub is the place to eat, drink and be merry.
Other places serving pancakes that have caught our eye include the brilliantly named Where The Pancakes Are. The people behind this brand new pop-up love pancakes, they bake pancakes and they pioneer better pancakes. They tell us it’s all about the ingredients and heaps of tender loving care. The pop-up launches at The Proud Archivist on the banks of The Regents Canal in Hackney from 14th February. Full opening times and directions are on the website.
