Microsoft took over the Roundhouse in Camden last month, in order to celebrate the latest instalment of their multibillion-dollar gaming franchise: Halo 5: Guardians.
Guests enjoyed a selection of our hearty manapés during the spectacular event. We served Mini Traditional Fish and Chips, Roast English Strip Loin Open Sandwiches, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Beetroot and Goat’s Cheese Arancini and Open Pulled Pork Sandwiches on Cornbread with Home-style Slaw.
Our manapés were followed by desserts, including Mini Treacle Tarts with Orange Cream, Baked Key Lime Cheesecake with Blackcurrant Cream and Mini Tiramisu in Dark Chocolate Cups.
The venue’s dramatic Main Space was packed out with Halo-related props and paraphernalia. Theming included live action models, weaponry, spaceships and special edition consoles.
A series of explosions were seen and heard at the nearby O2, at which point the Covenant Banshee, a replica space ship from the game, could be spotted nearby the building following a crash landing.
Having partnered with YouTube Gaming, the event included a two and a half hour livestream of “Halo 5: Guardians,” live from the Roundhouse. The stream featured a tournament between the UK’s biggest gaming YouTubers and fans, a live campaign walk-through from 343 Industries’ Franchise Development Director, Frank O’Connor, along with fan giveaways and appearances from special guests.
