House of Peroni

We were delighted to work with House of Peroni on its summer pop-up, which ran from 14th May to 10th June on Brick Lane. Dedicated to showing off the best of Italian culture, the pop-up took place at the Boiler House, which is part of the Old Truman Brewery. As well as a restaurant and bar guests could enjoy immersive installations throughout the residency.

The look of the pop-up was inspired by the Italian Piazza: the space within the city that forms the heart and soul of Italian social life. The venue became a metropolitan garden teeming with food, drink, music and more.

Fashion set designer Simon Costin, who once designed catwalks for Alexander McQueen, was asked to recreate the style of the piazza, where people-watching is an all-important part of the experience. The pop-up included a private dining menu by Sicilian chef Accursio Craparo, who designed a menu to chart a typical day in the life of an Italian. Finishing touches included incredible lighting from Italian light artists Luminarie De Cagna, whose incredible installations weaved their magic throughout the space, creating layers of light using thousands of multi-coloured bulbs.
