We’ve just opened our first restaurant! The Buntingford Kitchen can be found on Buntingford’s High Street, and is now officially open for business.
Following a successful soft opening the restaurant has welcomed its first guests, who were treated to an uncomplicated menu full of London Kitchen favourites. Our baked duck egg was amongst the most popular starters; the dish includes confit duck terrine, forest mushrooms and pea soup. A vegetarian first course of roasted and smoked baby beets with aged Manchego, walnuts and orange has also already proved a winner, not to mention show-stopper desserts like our pineapple layer cake served with pineapple and chilli salsa and vanilla bean ice cream.
The Buntingford Kitchen is housed within the former Brunel’s building, a historic and quaint space dating back to 1783. Since last year we’ve been busy refurbishing the building with the help of Buntingford’s superb local craftsmen (and woman!) we think the finished result was well worth waiting for – thank you ALL!
The Buntingford Kitchen can also, of course, be hired for events. The 36-seat restaurant includes a semi-private dining room, the Bourne Snug, which is suitable for up to eight guests. The snug can be booked by calling us on 01763 661389 or emailing email@example.com.
