An underground world beneath Waterloo station set the scene for an incredible party this month, when we catered for the official launch of new digital agency Phantom.

Deep within this subterranean lair, the Vaults are one of the capital’s best kept secrets. Formerly known as The Old Vic Tunnels, the venue is ideal for corporate and private events with a twist, and features 30,000 sqft of unused railway tunnels. Accessible, flexible and delectable Victorian brickwork is fused with abandoned 70s office space, creating the perfect space to let your imagination run wild.

For this launch the party den was transformed with Phantom theming, bringing the creativity of this exciting brand to life before guests’ eyes. Extraordinary decor complemented the venue’s unique architecture. Specially commissioned Phantom street art looked right at home in this urban event space, and design features included unique furnishings such as hanging chairs made from up-cycled bath tubs, and a beautiful swan seat for two – we’re thinking of getting on for the London Kitchen office!

For a launch party as creative as this no ordinary event catering would do. Working with Phantom we devised a manapé menu that would blow their guests away. If you haven’t had the chance to try our manapés yet, they’re a heartier, more indulgent take on the traditional canapé. Designed to enable guests to experience the best of both worlds; the ease of mingling and enjoying drinks whilst eating as well as the satisfaction of more hearty options, manapés are the perfect choice for networking events, parties and corporate entertaining.

On the manapé menu was our Thai Spiced Chicken Burger in a Sesame Seeded Bun with Pineapple, Mango and Red Pepper Salsa, Traditional Fish and Chips served in little cones, Minted Lamb Slider with Carrot Harrissa, Lime Yoghurt and Lebanese Cucumber, Spicy Chicken, Cream Cheese and Spinach Quesadillas, Open Pulled Pork Sandwich on Cornbread with Home-Style Slaw and Mini Pea and Mint Tartlets. We’re delighted to report that they went down a storm!

The Vaults are available for private and corporate events, and are particularly suited to parties, product launches and themed events. If you’d like to learn more about this hidden gem contact us today, we’d love to show you around.
