The London Kitchen team were honoured to be chosen to cater at the Mayor of London Boris Johnson’s second annual London Means Business dinner last week. The event saw 400 specially invited guests join the man himself for a sumptuous three course meal within the unique event galleries of the Museum of London.
Held on behalf of the Legacy List, the dinner saw the capital’s top business minds discuss the future of London’s economy over a mouth-watering London Kitchen meal. Guests began with starters of Poached Leek and Dorset Blue Puff Pastry Tarts, before tucking in to a main course of Roast Breast of Guinea Fowl with Dauphinoise Potatoes, Winter Greens and Chantenay Carrots, or Stuffed Mushrooms with Spinach, Dauphinoise Potatoes, Roasted Vine Tomatoes and Chantenay Carrots for the vegetarians. We then closed the meal in the best possible way, with a truly luxurious Deconstructed Chocolate Strudel, served with Cinnamon Ice Cream.
The Legacy List is an independent charity, founded in 2011 by the London Legacy Development Corporation and the Mayor of London. The charity’s mission is to protect the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic Games. So last week’s dinner was all about the heritage of the games, and the benefits Londoners are yet to reap from 2012’s fine summer of sport.
